Although Laos has been top ranked tourist destinations in recent years, the country remains one of the world's poorest nations and relies on foreign aids and donations. Lao people struggle with severe poverty and its life expectancy is extremely low. Forced to live a life in desperate poor conditions, many Lao children fall into working and begging to survive at their young age.
